I just checked and the 1974 db and the Manimal 4.2 db and neither has names like "AAAAA" or "replace" in the Names Lists (the blank Database is based upon the Updated Unfaking Database v5.5) until you reload it, and then it's 1, although no one has it, so it will still come up in the game.
And that's something I've never understood if there is one player with a name in the DB, and you change that player, the name drops to zero. They're not assigned to nations, but they're still there. Season 3 and there is 9926 players or staff. random check with players, most have 10-40 potential, some have more. canada major junior leagues have 0-2 players, one did have 10 and they all are very poor. Season 2 i check savegame editor and there is *drums*. finnish elite league did get some staff but no players, 1nhl player in database. Allmost all of them are game created 14-17y old juniors for minor junior teams. Season 1 in begining there is 9926 players or staff. selecting only nhl, ahl and finnish leagues. I did try to sim this database some seasons. Did you happen to notice if (after simming through a season) the game created any more (non grey) players than the 10 you started with?
